All-State/CBDA recordings are due to Mr. McKeown by Wednesday, November 27, 2019, via Google Drive. When he picks the top 20 students to submit, each of them will be given a code to upload their music and scales through the CBDA online system, which will close at 11:59 PM on December 2, 2019. If you receive a code from Mr. McKeown that allows you to submit your audition, you will need to pay a $55 student fee. And if you are selected for an honor ensemble, you will pay CASMEC a participation fee of approximately $450, due in mid-January.*
The All-State ensembles will perform February 21-23, 2020, in Fresno, CA. Read more info on the CBDA Auditions page.
* Please note: Honor groups are not part of the band curriculum. Samohi Band does not endorse any particular group, nor do they have the funds to support student participation in these fee-based programs.
