WE NEED YOUR HELP
to make our fundraiser a success!
Happy Holidays, Band Families!
Our 8th annual Bands at the Broad benefit concert and silent auction is coming up soon, on Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at the Eli and Edythe Broad Stage at 1310 11th St. in Santa Monica.
Featuring the Samohi Wind Symphony and Wind Ensemble in concert, Bands at the Broad is excited this year to welcome Sal Munoz and the Lincoln Middle School Wind Symphony for a special send-off performance before they head to the All-State conference the following week.

Supporting Samohi Band Tours

As the primary fundraiser for the Concert Band touring program, Bands at the Broad needs the support of every band family. This year, our Wind Symphony will be traveling to San Francisco and Sonoma State University, where they will play in a prestigious invitational festival for top high school bands and orchestras. Money raised through Bands at the Broad will help fund scholarships for students whose families may not be able to afford this opportunity.

About the Event

On concert night, doors open at 6 pm and we welcome families to mingle over a wine bar and silent auction before the performance. The auction continues through the intermission, when we also pass around cupcakes. It’s a special night of music and fun that showcases our best repertoire — this year we’ll be capping off the evening with a special combined performance of Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, commemorating the 140th anniversary of its premiere.
Even if your child is not traveling this year, please consider supporting Bands at the Broad so this type of trip can continue in the future. We need every family to help to make this event a success, and I am confident that we can come together to help our kids thrive.
Let’s make this year the best Bands at the Broad yet! Once again, happy holidays, and enjoy your break.
