The same volunteer clearance process applies to chaperones for both Marching and Concert Band events.
If you have been cleared as a Level II Volunteer at another SMMUSD site, you may request copies of your documents from that school and submit them for approval by the Samohi Administration.

You will need to download and print the SMMUSD APPLICATION/AGREEMENT FOR VOLUNTEER SERVICES
Once you have all of your required paperwork, including evidence of TB clearance, submit the forms to Ms. Diane O’Brien. Her office is in room AD500, in the Samohi Administration Building.
After Ms. O’Brien reviews your paperwork, she will give you further instructions, if necessary, to complete your application. Only SMMUSD teachers and individuals cleared as Level II Volunteers by Ms. O’Brien may serve as chaperones on Samohi Marching Band buses. Teachers should wear their SMMUSD badges when riding the bus; others will be given Samohi Band Volunteer badges indicating their volunteer clearance level.
In addition to Level II clearance, being a chaperone for a Concert Band tour requires approval by the administrator in charge of the tour.
